I enjoyed reading both the story and the poem. Poems are so cute coming from a guy and I think a poem may work a little better than a story such as the one in “100% perfect girl”. The only problem is, it is a little harder to understand poems than it is stories. There are parts that I do understand and have awe about when I read them such as when Andrew Marvell says “We would sit down, and think which was to walk, and pass our long love’s day”. This stanza seems like he was thinking about her and her day and that is adorable and if I were to receive this poem my thoughts would be “he actually care”. The story of “100% perfect girl” was a beautiful story. That story was more understanding and elaborated. It was different because men don’t usually speak to other men about love life stuff at least not like women do, so that was cool, and the other man was interested in what the author had to say. Also the author states that he couldn’t tell the size of breast and that this girl probably wasn’t the most attractive yet she was perfect. If a man walked up to me and started telling me this super long story I am not sure if it would get my attention or not. I feel like it wouldn’t because I like things placed to the point but then again for a guy to do something romantic and think of a story such as this one can be adorable and touching at the same time. I would also be asking myself in the back of my head if this man has been stalking me because he thought of such a nice story that no one can think of that quick. Honestly, I would have to be in the position to know which “pick up line” would get me. Neither one of them are cheesy but neither one is to the point and poems are sometimes hard to understand.
